Homemade Strawberry Crisp
Ingredients
Filling
4 cups of berries (I used strawberries and a few blueberries, but you can also use raspberries, apples, blackberries etc.)
1/3 cup of pure maple syrup
1/4 cup of brown sugar
4 tablespoons of oat flour (you can also use almond or coconut flour)
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
Crumble
2 cups of oats
1 cup (2 sticks) of margarine
1/4 cup of brown sugar
2 table spoons of oat flour (you can also use almond or coconut flour)
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Recipe
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Step 2. Wash all fruit and add into a bowl. If using strawberries, slice into small pieces.
Step 3. Combine fruit with maple syrup, brown sugar, oat flour, and vanilla. Toss all together to make sure the fruit is fully coated.
Step 4. Pour fruit mixture into a 12 x 12 inch baking pan.
Step 5. In a separate bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, oat flour, salt, and margarine. Use your hands to kneed ingredients together until a crumbly dough mixture has been formed.
Step 6. Crumble the dough on top of the fruit mixture, so that all of the fruit has been covered.
Step 7. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 375°F.
Step 8. Slice and serve!
