I am so excited to share with you that I am now part of the West Elm Collective, which is a small community of creators that are passionate about original, sustainable designs! This means that I will be sharing all of my amazing West Elm finds and how you can incorporate their quality items into your life and home. With this opportunity, I am able to preview West Elm’s new seasonal assortments, showcase my favorites on my Insider shop, and loop you all in on sales, promotions, and product launches so you’re the first to know. As an affiliate partner, I hand select every item in my shop and make a small commission off of shared links and shop purchases. I really appreciate you supporting me on this exciting journey and I know that you will love what I have to share!

Whether you are looking to furnish your space, find the perfect wedding gift for a best friend, or add a special piece to your home, I guarantee that West Elm has just what you’re looking for. From pillows to picture frames, bar carts to baby cribs, and everything in between, this shop has become my favorite for home decor and finishing touches. Feel free to head to my shop page on the West Elm site at any time to scour through my favorite products and see how I’ve added them into my own space.

To start off this partnership, I wanted to share how I recently made over our guest room with West Elm’ spring collection, along with a few key tips on how to create the coziest guest space in your home. If you are interested in any of these items, please do not hesitate to ask me questions.

Tip 1: Always have towels handy

A key item most people forget when creating a guest room is easy access to clean towels. It’s simple but easily overlooked. Guests use towels for all sorts of things during their stay (shower, washing, cleaning etc.) and it’s always a little awkward to ask for them on your own. So, do you guests a favor and lay out a neat stack of plush towels on the bed or near the nightstand for easy access. I recommend a body, hand, and face towel set to cover all of the bases. This organic premium bath towel set in white in my go-to choice.

Tip 2: Make the space cozy with blankets, pillows and candles

A cozy space goes a long way, especially for the weary traveler. To make the room extra warm, add soft blankets and pillows and a few candles with matches. This cotton knit throw is a great option for the end of the bed and these pure wood pillar candle holders add style whilst holding my ever-rotating collection of scented candles. These pillow covers are also great because they add a pop of color and are the perfect size to lay your head on while reading before bedtime.

Tip 3: Provide a sweet treat upon entry

My favorite tip of them all! Nothing says “welcome, make yourself at home” like a nice little treat set up on the bed or dresser upon entry. I always aim for muffins (my lemon poppy seed favorites featured here), chocolates, or even a few simple packets of tea with a kettle filled with hot water. To display these delicious foods, I like to use my organic shaped salad plates and wooden serving planks.

Tip 4: Think about bedside needs

Think about it: if you were a guest, what would you like to have on hand? For me, a nice reading light, ceramic mug, old pile of books, and bottle of hand lotion top the list. These are items I wouldn’t normally pack, but would still enjoy using. For the perfect bedside lamp, I’d opt for the wood and ceramic table lamp in white, pictured below.

Tip 5: Invest in great bedding

This is probably my most important tip and it’s what’ll keep them coming back to stay as your guest time and time again. Great bedding makes all the difference as sleeping is the key to having a nice stay when your not at your own place. It’s important to invest in great bedding for the guest room and it’s an investment that will reap rewards time and time again as you can keep using it for years and after many washes. I highly suggest the “Build your own set - Tencel Bedding” in order to get exactly what you need.
